A few months ago I made a list of predictable answers.

1 of those predictions was about hoe they would respond to questions anout safety

This is exactly what I expected to hear.
In fact, before this case ever reached this point, I predicted this would be the response when the company was asked about safety.

I predicted the answer would be that the company is “committed to safety.”

And that is what was said.

That prediction wasn’t based on hindsight. It was based on how these cases usually go and on what the documents already suggested. When safety is questioned after an injury, companies almost always lead with commitment.

What matters next isn’t the statement itself. Discovery will show what the company’s own safety policies required, what employees were trained to expect, and what management was responsible for enforcing.

Discovery will also show whether those policies were followed in practice or whether they existed only on paper.

So hearing this answer today didn’t surprise me. It simply confirms what I anticipated. Now the evidence will show whether the actions matched the words.
