LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP

Don’t tell me workers’ compensation is broken by accident.
It isn’t.

You promised to drain the swamp.
This IS the swamp.

Workers’ compensation didn’t fail—
it was designed exactly the way lawmakers wanted it.

They call it “efficiency.”
Courts call it “exclusive remedy.”
Corporations call it “cost control.”

What it really is:
corporate immunity with a worker-friendly name.

When a worker gets injured, the government steps back.
No jury.
No discovery.
No accountability.

And corporations know exactly what that means:

Don’t report the injury.
Delay treatment.
Ignore safety laws.
Retaliate quietly.

Worst case? A capped workers’ comp claim.
Best case? The worker gives up.

You know this happens, Mr. President.

The government built a legal shield around corporations and told workers it was for their protection—
then stopped enforcing its own rules.

Hershey violated federal safety laws.
Hershey violated disability accommodation laws.
Hershey committed fraud on my injury report.
And workers’ compensation blocked me from holding them accountable.

This isn’t one bad company.
It’s a system designed to let companies get away with it.

You promised to fight for American workers every single day.
So fight for this:

Give workers the right to sue when companies break federal laws.
Workers’ compensation cannot be a shield for corporate crime.

That’s draining the swamp.

Are you going to do it—
or just keep talking about it?

PRESIDENT TRUMP’S PROMISE (WORD FOR WORD)

“Every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body.
I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America
that our children deserve — and that you deserve.”

— President Donald J. Trump
