When caught, corporations like Hershey don’t admit fault — they spin. In my opinion, here’s how Hershey will try to repair its image and distract the public from the truth:

Charity Campaigns – sudden donations to schools, food banks, or hospitals to make headlines that paint them as a “caring” company.

Community Sponsorships – throwing money at local events, sports teams, or cultural programs so people associate them with good deeds instead of misconduct.

Employee Spotlights – promoting stories of “happy” workers to drown out my story of deliberate harm.

Safety Announcements – launching a new “safety initiative” or revising training videos, pretending to fix the very problems they created.

Corporate Awards – chasing business or HR awards to create the illusion of being a model workplace.

Glossy PR Ads – running commercials about “family values,” “heritage,” or “American tradition” to pull focus away from the truth.

Charity Partnerships – teaming up with big-name nonprofits to buy positive press.

Silence / Delay – hoping the media cycle dies down while quietly maneuvering behind the scenes.

Blame Shifting – pushing responsibility onto individual managers instead of admitting it was a systemic, corporate choice.

Legal Technicalities – hiding behind workers’ comp loopholes to say: “This isn’t a violation, it’s just a process.”

Minimization – calling my experience “one incident” instead of admitting it reflects a broken system affecting thousands.

Don’t be fooled. My story is a true example that thousands if not millions of Americans have had to endure.

The Hershey Thing is about forcing lawmakers to take accountability for the doors they have opened by letting companies like Hershey interpret their own version of the law — a version that benefits them and leaves the injured by themselves on an island.
